Macedo Returns to Midwest for All Star Season

INDIANAPOLIS (Apr. 12, 2018) – With weather playing a huge factor in getting the 2018 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions season kicked off, Macedo is anxiously awaiting his Midwest agenda to get underway. The California native returns to Joe Gaerte Racing for a second full season behind the wheel of the Gaerte/Norman No.3G.

“Whether I’ve been in California or in Indiana, it seems like everything is getting rained out,” shared Macedo. “I’m ready to get back behind the wheel. I’m excited to be running with the All Stars full time this season, and I’m grateful to everyone who is helping out with the No.3G this year.”

The California native spent the beginning of the year ‘down under’ in Australia racing with Sean Dyson and Dyson Motorsports. The duo scored several top five finishes, including a second-place podium finish at the Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic in Warrnambool. That partnership has carried over into Macedo’s return to the States. Dyson Motorsports & Complete Parts and Equipment will be providing the No.3G with sponsorship, as they contend with the All Star Circuit of Champions.

“I love spending time in Australia with Sean and Felicity Dyson,” explained Macedo. “They are family to me, and to be able to represent them in America with the Gaerte No.3G team is incredible. Sean is a huge supporter in my racing career, and he has really been a mentor for me not only in racing, but just in life in general. I can’t say enough about how much him, Felicity and their daughter Peyton mean to me.”

Macedo, who frequently pilots the Tarlton Racing No.21x throughout the West Coast, has brought a piece of California to the Midwest. Family and longtime supporters of Macedo, Tom and Tommy Tarlton, along with Larry Moles of Southern Pacific Farms will also be supporting the Gaerte Racing / XYZ Machining No.3G throughout the 2018 season.

“Tom and Tommy Tarlton have been the biggest supporters in my racing career,” commented Macedo. “Without them giving me the opportunity to drive a sprint car, I’m not sure I would have ever gotten a shot. Tommy is actually my cousin, but over time has become one of my best friends. Having the Tarlton family come on board with the No.3G team is huge. I truly believe that putting the right people together is the key to success.”

“Southern Pacific Farms has been a huge supporter in sprint car racing over the last few years. Larry Moles is a great guy, who is very respected in the racing world,” said Macedo. “Growing up, I spent a lot of time racing micros with his twin boys, Mitchell and Mathew, who have since become sprint car drivers themselves. Larry really stepped up this year, and I know we will do our best to represent him well. The No.3G team, and I are very thankful for his support.”

Macedo plans to kick off the No.3G season at the famed Williams Grove Speedway on April 13th, Port Royal Speedway April 14th, and ending their mini Pennsylvania swing at Bedford Speedway on Sunday April 15th.
