INDIANAPOLIS (Jun. 12, 2017) – Lemoore, California’s Carson Macedo mastered Lincoln Speedway to capture his first victory with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. Macedo would edge All Star regulars Paul Nienhiser and Chad Kemenah, who rounded out the podium, for the win.

“We were second fastest overall in hotlaps,” said Macedo. “The car felt really comfortable right from the start. The guys made a few minor adjustments before qualifying. We went out in the 3rd group of time trials, and ended up fastest in our group and 5th overall. I knew we had a strong car to contend for the win at that point.”

Macedo battled for the dash position with Paul Nienhiser during heat race competition. The two traded sliders several times, but Nienhiser would take the second position, leaving Macedo one spot short, finishing 3rd. With several cars missing the invert, Macedo transferred to the trophy dash via qualifying time.

Starting on the outside front row of the trophy dash, next to pole sitter, and three time NASCAR Champion, Tony Stewart, Macedo would win with ease. Current All Star points leader, Chad Kemenah, took the early lead, but after seven circuits Macedo had moved into the lead, passing Kemenah on the high side. Macedo would go on to win, putting 13 cars a lap down, and cross the start finish line with a five second lead over the field.

“The No.22 car passed me on the bottom in turns 1 and 2, and showed me it was good,” explained Macedo. “I moved down to the bottom and passed him back, then I caught Kemenah, and took the lead. This car was incredible all night long; absolutely phenomenal to drive. Joe Gaerte, Tim Norman and Cindy Norman gave me an awesome race car. It was so easy to drive and I could pretty much put it wherever I wanted to go. I can’t say enough about the No.3G team, and how much I enjoy driving for them.”
