Ketcham Slated for Big Season with BOSS Series

INDIANAPOLIS (May 3, 2018) – Cole Ketcham Racing is geared up for a big season with the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS). The Muncie, Indiana, native is slated to kick off the BOSS season this weekend at Fremont Speedway, located in Fremont, Ohio.

“I’m really excited to be able to run the majority of the BOSS tour this year,” said Ketcham. “I’m just ready to get back behind the wheel consistently. Last year we had some issues early in the season, that really put us behind. I didn’t get to race very much, after having engine issues early on. We took that time to revamp our program, so I’m hoping to come back stronger this season.”

Ketcham, who sat out most of the 2017, is eager to return to full time racing. The 26-year-old, plans to compete in the majority of the BOSS series races, as well as several USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car events.

“We took the car to Lawrenceburg last weekend, and man I was rusty,” laughed Ketcham. “While I was excited to be back in the race car, I could tell I needed to get back in the groove, and get some laps under my belt. The goal is to run a full season. I haven’t been able to do that the last couple of years, because of one reason or another. We want to make features, be competitive, and pass cars.”

The family owned team, comprised of his dad, John Ketcham, brother, Dillan Ketcham, and friend, Matt Martini, who helps out at the shop and on weekends, are planning to unveil a new scheme for the race car in the coming weeks.

“We have a really cool theme for the cars this year,” commented Ketcham. “I can’t wait to show them to everyone. We had two different cars designed, but they follow the same theme. We’ll have t-shirts available as well, so I’m pretty excited to get it all finished up.”

Ketcham will make his 2018 Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series debut at Fremont Speedway, Saturday, May 5th. Be on the lookout for Ketcham’s new colors, and racing apparel.
