Johnson Eager to Tackle Knoxville Raceway and More

INDIANAPOLIS (May 3, 2017) – Kaleb Johnson, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is eager to begin his winged 360 season. Johnson plans to kick off his weekend with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series at Rapid Speedway, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, before heading to the mecca of sprint cars, known to most simply as, Knoxville Raceway.

“I’m pretty pumped to get back in a 360, and see what we can do,” commented Johnson. “Last year I was able to get my feet wet and run about eight shows. I learned a lot, we had a lot of speed in those eight races, but the results didn’t necessarily show it. Being able to race both 305’s & 360’s this year consistently is definitely something we are looking forward to.”

Johnson plans to compete in approximately twenty winged 360 races over the course of the 2018 season, competing mostly with the Midwest Sprint Touring Series, and the Midwest Power Series. With only a handful of 360 starts under his belt last year, the 20 year old will make his debut at the ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World” Saturday night for stout weekly Knoxville competition.

“Both tracks are actually a first for me, so trying to get a handle on the race car right away will be pretty key,” explained Johnson. “My team and I are ready to go out and tackle some different tracks throughout the year. I’ve grown up dreaming about the chance to get to race at Knoxville, so finally getting the opportunity to race there will be a pretty awesome experience. I can’t thank all my sponsors enough, and especially my parents, for helping me get to this point.”

Johnson is also slated to run a full Racesaver 305 schedule, in addition to his winged 360 program. You can find Johnson all over the North and Midwest this summer. For a full schedule and results visit
