Faccinto with Back-to-Back SCCT Victories at Stockton

INDIANAPOLIS (Jul. 5, 2017) – Hanford, California native, Mitchell Faccinto put the Stan Greenberg owned No.37 in victory lane once again during the Jimmy Sills Classic, held Sunday, July 2nd. Faccinto scored his third win of the season at Stockton Dirt Track during round eight of the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

“We were able to rip off a good qualifying lap even though we went out late,” explained Faccinto. “We transferred through the heat race and my sister, Marissa, drew us the number one pill for the dash which always helps. In the feature, I beat Kyle Hirst on the first two starts, but the red came out during both of them. He beat me to the lead on the third restart, but I was able to get back by Hirst on the double file restart later in the race, and a couple laps later the rubber came in. From then on everyone was just saving their tires. We had a fast car all night even before the rubber came, so it sucks the fans had to watch that. I can’t complain too much since we won.”

Faccinto started the night off on a high note, timing the Western Metal Company/ TSG Recycling No. 37 in second during qualifications. Transferring through the heat race, and into the trophy dash, Faccinto would end up starting on the pole of the main event. After falling to second, Faccinto made a late race charge to regain the lead and take the win.

“It’s pretty cool winning back-to-back SCCT races at Stockton,” said Faccinto. “I’m really proud of my team. We had a fast car all night, and got the win. Hopefully this is good momentum heading in to Oregon Speedweek.”

Faccinto and team gear up for Oregon Speedweek with the ASCS North West region for six nights of racing, kicking off at Siskiyou Speedway, Monday, July 10th.

Mitchell Faccinto and Stan Greenberg would like to thank the following sponsors: Western Metal Company, TSG Recycling, I.H. Greenberg, and Simpson Race Products.
