Faccinto Cashes in at Keller Auto Speedway

INDIANAPOLIS (Sep. 7, 2017) – With a $5,000 pay day on the line Hanford, California, native Mitchell Faccinto was in the right place at the right time. After losing the lead to Gio Scelzi, Faccinto battled hard and was able to pull off the win at his home track of Keller Auto Speedway.

“The night started off decent,” explained Faccinto. “I qualified just bad enough to start up front in a heat and won. We were really good in the beginning of the feature. I caught traffic with about 9 laps to go, and lost the lead to Gio (Scelzi). We battled hard for a while, and finally were able to pull off the win!”

Faccinto kicked off the evening timing in the Greenberg/Western Metal Company/ TSG Recycling No.37 8th in qualifying. He bounced back during the heat race, taking advantage of the front row starting spot, winning from second place. Faccinto would start and finish first in the trophy dash, earning him the pole position for the main event. Faccinto went on to score his fourth win of the season.

“I made a driver error in qualifying, but my guys were able to get me more comfortable as the night went on,” said Faccinto. “As always I have to thank my guys and Stan Greenberg for giving me good equipment to run up front. This is great momentum heading in to Gold Cup at Chico this weekend.”

Faccinto and team will be at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, for the Gold Cup Race of Champions with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars.

Mitchell Faccinto and Stan Greenberg would like to thank the following sponsors: Western Metal Company, TSG Recycling, I.H. Greenberg, and Simpson Race Products.
