INDIANAPOLIS (Sep. 25, 2017) –  Keith Kunz Motorsports standout, Spencer Bayston became the first driver in seventeen years to win both the Belleville Midget Nationals and the 4-Crown Midget feature in the same season; a stat that was held by now NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne.

“I’ve had an incredible year so far, and I’m very thankful to be racing for a team like Keith Kunz Motorsports,” commented Bayston. “They make my job easy. Keith, Pete, Big Al, and everyone else at the shop really put in the work, and it shows on the race track.”

Bayston emerged high-point guy after a 7th to 2nd place run in the heat race, awarding him the pole for the 25-lap main event. Bayston, the current USAC National Midget points leader, would lead flag-to-flag scoring his tenth feature win of the 2017 season, and extending his points lead by 66 over second place sitting Brady Bacon.

“Right now I’m focusing on one race at a time, and getting solid finishes,” explained Bayston. “The focus coming into this year was winning the championship, but I have been just running one race at time and chasing wins. Having a dependable and fast car every night has put us in a really good position as the year rounds out.”

Three races remain on the USAC National Midget schedule to determine the 2017 Midget Champion; Wayne County Speedway, Bakersfield Speedway, and Ventura Raceway.

Spencer Bayston would like to thank the following sponsors: Keith Kunz Motorsports, Toyota Racing, Bullet by Spike Chassis, Curb-Agajanian Curb Records, Simpson Race Products, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems.
